Terraces

Inspired by the view from my studio, this original oil painting captures the warm glow of evening sunlight falling across a row of traditional British terraced houses.

Terraced houses are such a familiar part of the British landscape, yet each one has its own individual character. What particularly caught my attention was the way the low evening sun transformed the brickwork, bringing out rich, warm tones and making this everyday view feel special.
