I’m thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of my new website, JenniferMcAllister.co.uk! This has been an exciting journey, and I can’t wait to share my work with you in a more accessible and engaging way.
A Lifelong Passion for Painting
Painting has been a part of my life for many years. I first caught the painting bug in my early twenties, and it has remained my passion ever since. While I initially worked with acrylics, I now primarily use oils, drawn to their rich texture and versatility. My background in textiles, having completed a degree at Surrey Institute in 1997, has played a big role in shaping my love for colour and composition.
I often begin my creative process with sketches from life, making colour notes and exploring different compositions. My sketchbooks are invaluable, filled with tonal studies, colour swatches, and expressive marks that I strive to retain in my final paintings. Whether I’m working in acrylic, gouache, pastel, or pencil, each sketch helps inform the final piece.
The Charm of Stony Stratford
Over the last year, I have focused on painting townscapes of my home town, Stony Stratford. This historic market town, with its charming streets and warm red-brick buildings, continues to inspire me. Having grown up here, I returned after years in London to raise my family, and Stony Stratford has remained a significant influence in my work.
I’m especially excited to introduce my Paintings of Stony Stratford 2025 Calendar, available for purchase on my website. You can also find it at Odell’s in town, at Made in Stony (an artisan fair at The Cock Hotel on 30th November 2024), and at Love Local Hub in Central Milton Keynes from 18th November 2024.

What’s Next?
With the launch of my website, I’m delighted to offer fine art giclée prints of my paintings, making my work more accessible to art lovers. I’m also continuing my participation in Bucks Art Weeks, where I exhibit alongside other talented artists each June.
This website will be the perfect space to showcase my latest works, share updates about exhibitions, and connect with fellow art enthusiasts. I hope you’ll enjoy exploring my work and perhaps even find a piece that resonates with you.
Thank you for your support and for being a part of this journey with me. I look forward to sharing more with you soon!
